Files
Which file types can I upload?
3D: STL, 3MF, STEP/STP, OBJ, IGES, and native files from common CAD tools (we'll ask for an export if we can't open yours). Reference: JPG, PNG, HEIC, WebP and PDF.
Is there a file size limit?
Up to 15 files per enquiry and 100 MB per file. If yours are bigger, send what you can and mention it in the notes; we'll arrange another way.
I don't have a 3D file. Can you still help?
Yes. Choose "I need a design" and send sketches, photos with a ruler in shot, drawings or a description.
My file is from a model-sharing website. Can you print it?
Only if its licence allows it to be made for you. Many free models are licensed for personal, non-commercial use. You confirm you have the right to have it manufactured when you submit.
Approval & pricing
How is the price worked out?
We look at design time (if any), machine time, material, setup, finishing and delivery. Your quote lists each of these separately, plus VAT where it applies.
Why no instant online price?
Automatic calculators can't tell whether a part will actually work. We'd rather check first and give you a price we stand behind.
How long is a quote valid?
Each quote states its validity period, scope, assumptions and lead time. Material prices and capacity can change, so we may re-quote after it expires.
How do I pay?
When you accept a quote we send a secure payment link from a recognised payment provider. We never ask for card details by email or phone.
Do I approve the design before it's printed?
Always. For design work you approve the final CAD before we issue a printing quote or start manufacturing.
Lead time & materials
How long will it take?
It depends on size, quantity and how busy we are. Every quote gives a specific lead time. If you have a hard deadline, put it in the form and we'll tell you honestly whether we can meet it.
Which material should I choose?
If you're not sure, pick "please advise". Tell us about load, heat, sunlight and moisture and we'll recommend one. See the materials table.
How accurate are printed parts?
Accuracy depends on geometry, material and orientation. If your part must fit something, tell us the critical dimensions and we'll design and check for them.
Do you offer 3D scanning or large-format printing?
Not yet as live services. You can still enquire and we'll tell you whether we can help.
IP & confidentiality
Who owns the design you create for me?
Ownership and licensing of design files are set out in your quote before work starts. Typically you receive the rights to use the final design for your stated purpose.
Will you show my project on your website?
Only with your explicit written permission. Your files and photos are never used in marketing otherwise.
Can you sign an NDA?
Yes, mention it in your enquiry and we'll review your NDA or provide ours.
Can you copy a branded or patented product?
We won't make parts that would infringe someone else's design rights, patents or trade marks. If we're unsure, we'll ask before quoting.
Delivery, cancellations & refunds
Where do you deliver?
Across the UK by tracked courier. Collection may be possible by arrangement. See shipping & delivery.
Can I cancel an order?
Your rights depend on whether the item is made to your specification and whether design work has started. See cancellations & returns for the details.
What if my part arrives faulty or damaged?
Tell us within 14 days with photos. If it doesn't match the approved specification or was damaged in transit, we'll reprint, repair or refund in line with your statutory rights.
